 Genuine Joy Counseling LLC, recognizes that clients have rights while participating in our agency. They are as follows:

1. Be treated in a respectful and ethical manner.
2. Be respected for their individuality, including ethnic, spiritual, linguistic, familial, cultural, and physical and mental ability differences.
3. Be empowered to create their personal goals for services and safety plans.
4. Be listened to and offered options by staff.
5. Have confidentiality and privacy protected, within legal limits.
6. Know the experience and credentials of the staff providing direct services to them.
7. Have access to services in a reasonable time frame.
8. Expect reliable, complete and up-to-date information from Genuine Joy Counseling staff.
9. Have written documents and verbal information provided in a clear and understandable manner.
10. Appeal decisions that impact the Genuine Joy Counseling services they can/will receive.
11. Obtain access to their records and/or letters of advocacy when needed, based on an understanding of potential impact to client confidentiality once letters are written.
12. Provide input that can help JBWS improve its services, procedures and programs.
